Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Commitment to safety and food handling compliance
- Physical ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, lifting up to 35 pounds, and use of personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns according to guidelines
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment that increases customer confidence and loyalty
- Deliver daily conditions meeting company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- Offer product samples, answer customer questions, and assist with product selection
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote teamwork, communicate company and department information, and adhere to laws and company guidelines
- Maintain inventory awareness, report discrepancies, inspect products for quality and freshness, and prepare, package, label, and display products
- Utilize production planning tools to accurately produce fresh products and follow markdown or discard processes to reduce shrink
- Ensure proper temperature control and documentation per food safety guidelines
- Follow safety protocols, food handling practices, sanitation standards, and execute product recalls promptly
- Report safety risks, accidents, or illegal activities and ensure associates have received safety training and use personal protective equipment
- Inspect and report equipment condition and assist with safety remediation
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
