Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns according to company guidelines
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role including standing, lifting, carrying, and performing repetitive motions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 3 years of supervisory or relevant experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- Must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment that makes customers feel important and appreciated
- Deliver daily conditions that meet product availability, freshness, quality, and value expectations
- Offer product samples, answer product questions, and assist customers with finding or suggesting products
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote teamwork and communicate department and company information
- Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- Review and inspect products for quality and freshness
- Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- Utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products accurately
- Follow discard and markdown processes to reduce shrink
- Ensure products are held at proper temperatures per food safety guidelines
- Maintain documentation of temperature logs
- Comply with safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Report safety risks, accidents, illegal activity, and unsafe conditions to management
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all associates receive necessary safety training
- Ensure equipment is in good repair and assist with safety hazard remediation
