Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift weights up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
- Willingness to work varied shifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely according to guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant supervisory or bakery experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
- Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples, answer product questions and assist customers in finding or suggesting products
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration, teamwork, and communication
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Maintain inventory and stock conditions, report discrepancies
- Prepare, package, label and display bakery products for sale
- Utilize production planning tools to accurately produce fresh products and follow markdown processes to reduce shrink
- Ensure product is held at proper temperature and retain temperature logs
- Ensure company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity are maintained
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Report safety risks and unsafe conditions to management
- Comply with safety procedures and ensure use of personal protective equipment
- Operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
