Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to work varied shifts including indoors and outdoors in varied temperature and humidity conditions
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and food handling regulations
- Ability to use personal protective equipment
- Capability to operate bakery and general equipment safely
- Willingness to comply with all company policies and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of supervisory or relevant experience preferred
- Fluent in English, Spanish preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team and respect diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated reliability and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated
- Deliver daily conditions that meet company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- Offer product samples, answer customer questions, and assist in product selection
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote teamwork and communicate company and department information
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
- Inspect products for quality and take appropriate action
- Prepare, package, label, and display bakery products
- Follow production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
- Ensure food safety by holding products at proper temperatures and maintaining temperature logs
- Comply with safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Report safety risks, unsafe conditions, accidents, and illegal activities
- Use bakery equipment safely according to company guidelines
- Participate in safety training and wear personal protective equipment as required
- Assist with safety hazard remediation and equipment maintenance
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
