Job Requirements
- must be 18 years of age

- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check

Job Duties
- create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- offer product samples, answer product questions and assist customers with finding or suggesting products
- ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating and communicating company and department information
- maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
- prepare, package, label and display products for sale
- utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and follow discarding or markdown processes to reduce shrink
- ensure product is held at proper temperature per food safety guidelines and retain documentation
- ensure company safety standards, food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained
- adhere to regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety and USDA and DOA regulations
- execute product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner ensuring items are removed from customer access
- reinforce safety programs, inspect and report unsafe conditions
- notify management of accidents and report safety risks, illegal activity, or theft
- ensure wage and hour policies and regulations are adhered to
- cultivate a culture of safety and ensure all associates receive necessary safety training
- ensure personal protective equipment is available and utilized and equipment is in good repair
