Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- willingness to work varied shifts
- ability to stand, walk, lift up to 35 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- adherence to food safety and safety procedures
- commitment to uphold company standards and regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant experience in bakery or retail
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales and pricing guns
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- authorization to work in the United States
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- offer product samples, answer product questions and assist customers in finding or suggesting products
- ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork and communication
- adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- review and inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
- prepare, package, label and display products for sale
- utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products accurately
- ensure product is held at proper temperature and retain temperature logs
- ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling, sanitation and productivity are maintained
- comply with food safety regulations, USDA and Department of Agriculture guidelines
- execute product recalls and withdrawals timely and secure items from customer access
- comply with safety procedures, inspect and report unsafe conditions
- notify management of customer or employee accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity
- ensure adherence to wage and hour policies
- cultivate a culture of safety and ensure all associates receive necessary safety training
- ensure hazardous assessments are posted and personal protective equipment is available and used
- ensure equipment is in good repair and report safety hazards
