Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
  • Must follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
  • Ability to collaborate and promote teamwork
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience in a retail bakery or similar environment helpful but not required

Job Duties

  • Creates a welcoming environment that increases customer confidence and loyalty
  • Delivers daily conditions ensuring product availability, freshness, quality, and value
  • Offers product samples and answers customer questions
  • Fulfills customer requests and special orders
  • Promotes teamwork and communicates company and job-specific information
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Maintains inventory awareness and reports discrepancies
  • Reviews and inspects products for quality and freshness
  • Prepares, packages, labels, and displays products for sale
  • Utilizes production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
  • Ensures food safety guidelines and documentation compliance
  • Adheres to safety standards and proper food handling practices
  • Executes product recalls and withdrawals timely
  • Reports safety risks, accidents, illegal activity, and safety hazards
  • Ensures associates receive necessary safety training
  • Maintains equipment safety and reports hazards
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
