Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
- Must follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- Ability to collaborate and promote teamwork
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience in a retail bakery or similar environment helpful but not required
Job Duties
- Creates a welcoming environment that increases customer confidence and loyalty
- Delivers daily conditions ensuring product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- Offers product samples and answers customer questions
- Fulfills customer requests and special orders
- Promotes teamwork and communicates company and job-specific information
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Maintains inventory awareness and reports discrepancies
- Reviews and inspects products for quality and freshness
- Prepares, packages, labels, and displays products for sale
- Utilizes production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
- Ensures food safety guidelines and documentation compliance
- Adheres to safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Executes product recalls and withdrawals timely
- Reports safety risks, accidents, illegal activity, and safety hazards
- Ensures associates receive necessary safety training
- Maintains equipment safety and reports hazards
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
