Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, carry, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive movements
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and food handling standards
  • Ability to work varied shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives and pricing guns
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming environment to enhance customer confidence and loyalty
  • Deliver daily conditions meeting company standards for product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • Offer product samples and assist customers with product selection
  • Fulfill customer requests and special orders
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among associates
  • Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
  • Inspect products for quality and take appropriate actions
  • Prepare, package, label, and display bakery products
  • Follow production planning and reduce shrink through proper discard and markdown processes
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and safety standards
  • Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
  • Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity
  • Ensure wage and hour policy adherence
  • Participate in safety training and utilize personal protective equipment
  • Report and assist with remediation of safety hazards
