Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, carry, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive movements
- Willingness to adhere to safety and food handling standards
- Ability to work varied shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives and pricing guns
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment to enhance customer confidence and loyalty
- Deliver daily conditions meeting company standards for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples and assist customers with product selection
- Fulfill customer requests and special orders
- Promote teamwork and effective communication among associates
- Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
- Inspect products for quality and take appropriate actions
- Prepare, package, label, and display bakery products
- Follow production planning and reduce shrink through proper discard and markdown processes
- Ensure compliance with food safety and safety standards
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity
- Ensure wage and hour policy adherence
- Participate in safety training and utilize personal protective equipment
- Report and assist with remediation of safety hazards
