Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns according to company guidelines
- Ability to adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Ability to maintain safety standards and comply with food safety regulations
- Ability to work varied shifts including standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and pull up to 250 pounds
- Ability to work under various environmental conditions including cold, heat, and humidity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to follow safety procedures and food handling standards
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work varied shifts
- English language proficiency required, Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- Deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples and answer product questions
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating and communicating
- Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- Review and inspect products for quality and freshness
- Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- Utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and manage shrink
- Ensure food safety guidelines are followed including proper temperature control and documentation
- Comply with safety, sanitation, and productivity standards
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all associates receive safety training
- Inspect and report unsafe conditions and equipment hazards
- Assist with remediation of safety hazards
- Operate bakery equipment safely according to company guidelines
