Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age
  • authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • physically able to stand or walk for extended periods
  • capable of lifting up to 35 lbs
  • able to push, carry, or pull loads up to 250 lbs
  • willingness to work varied shifts
  • adherence to safety procedures
  • ability to handle bakery equipment safely
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-3 years of supervisory experience minimum
  • must be 18 years of age
  • authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • strong customer service skills
  • exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun according to company guidelines

Job Duties

  • create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
  • deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • offer product samples, answer product questions and offer customers assistance in finding or suggesting products
  • ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information
  • adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines
  • maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report any discrepancies in inventory
  • review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action with those items
  • prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
  • utilize production planning tools to accurately produce fresh products and ensure discarding or markdown processes are followed to reduce shrink
  • ensure product is held at the proper temperature per food safety guidelines and retain documentation of temperate logs per policy
  • ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained
  • adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA and COOL, and DOA
  • execute all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner, ensuring all items are secured and removed from customer access
  • reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and inspect and identify unsafe conditions to report to store management
  • notify management of customer or employee accidents
  • report all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
  • ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations
  • cultivate a culture of safety within the store
  • ensure self and all associates are working safely and have received necessary safety training
  • ensure Hazardous Assessments are posted and Personal Protective Equipment is available and utilized
  • ensure equipment is in good repair and report and assist with remediation of safety hazards
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
