Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment including slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
  • Willingness to work varied shifts
  • Ability to comply with safety and food handling regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated that will increase customer confidence and loyalty
  • Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • Offer product samples, answer product questions and assist customers in finding or suggesting products
  • Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • Promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information
  • Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and report any discrepancies
  • Review and inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action with those items
  • Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
  • Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines including proper temperature holding of products and documentation
  • Comply with safety procedures and inspect, identify, and report unsafe conditions to store management
  • Report safety risks, illegal activity, and accidents
  • Ensure all associates are trained and utilize personal protective equipment
  • Operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, and pricing guns according to company guidelines
