Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated
- Deliver daily product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- Offer product samples and answer product questions
- Fulfill customer requests and special orders
- Promote teamwork and communicate company and job-specific information
- Maintain inventory awareness and report discrepancies
- Inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
- Prepare, package, label, and display bakery products
- Utilize production planning tools and follow markdown processes to reduce shrink
- Ensure products are held at proper temperature per food safety guidelines and retain documentation
- Maintain company safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity standards
- Adhere to food safety regulations including USDA, COOL, and DOA
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly ensuring items are secured and removed
- Enforce safety programs, inspect and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of accidents and report safety risks, illegal activities, and ensure compliance with wage and hour policies
- Ensure associates have received safety training and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Report and assist with remediation of safety hazards and ensure equipment is in good repair
- Operate bakery equipment safely according to company guidelines
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
