Job Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of bakery equipment
- Eagerness to interact with customers
- Strong sense of team and ability to anticipate the needs of the team
- Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities under general supervision
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push or pull for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Serve customers in the bakery department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing best in class customer service, including greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
- Answer questions regarding bakery products and ingredients
- Assist customers in selecting bakery products and offer suggestions as needed
- Fill and maintain the bakery case
- Package, price and label items for the sales floor
- Stock and rotate bakery products on the sales floor
- Take and fulfill bakery orders via phone and in person
- Complete daily cleaning duties in the bakery department
- Assist bakers with pouring batter, panning bakery items and preparing product for baking as needed
- Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the bakery department
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety and sanitation regulations and procedures
- Assist with all other bakery department duties as needed
