Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- physical ability to perform tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 35 lbs, and pulling up to 250 lbs
- willingness to work varied shifts
- adherence to safety protocols and food handling practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0 to 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns
- commitment to safety and adherence to food safety guidelines
- ability to work varied shifts
- authorization to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment for customers to increase confidence and loyalty
- deliver daily conditions meeting company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value
- offer product samples and answer customer questions
- fulfill customer requests and special orders
- promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration and communication
- adhere to all relevant laws and company policies
- maintain inventory and report discrepancies
- inspect products for quality and freshness
- prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- utilize production planning tools for accurate product preparation
- follow discard and markdown procedures to reduce shrink
- ensure products are held at proper temperatures per food safety guidelines
- document temperature logs
- comply with safety, food handling, and sanitation standards
- execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- report unsafe conditions and safety risks to management
- ensure all associates receive safety training and use personal protective equipment
- report accidents and illegal activities
- maintain equipment in good repair and assist with hazard remediation
- perform additional job-related duties as assigned
