Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of carrying, pushing or lifting up to 35 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot movements
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions including cold and heated environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant supervisory or bakery experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens and scales
- Ability to work varied shifts
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated
- Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples and answer customer questions
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Promote teamwork and communicate effectively with associates
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and company guidelines
- Maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- Inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action
- Prepare, package, label and display products for sale
- Utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
- Ensure product held at proper temperatures with required documentation
- Ensure company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity
- Execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly while securing items
- Comply with safety procedures and inspect and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activity
- Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and cultivate a culture of safety
- Operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
