Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of relevant supervisory experience preferred
- strong customer service skills
- exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to operate bakery equipment including slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
- understanding of food safety standards and regulatory compliance
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- authorization to work in the United States
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- ability to communicate in English, Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
- offer product samples and answer product questions
- fulfill customer requests and special orders
- promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating and communicating
- ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
- review and inspect products for quality and freshness
- prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
- ensure products are held at proper temperatures in accordance with food safety guidelines
- ensure company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
- execute product recalls and withdrawals promptly
- comply with safety procedures
- report unsafe conditions and notify management of accidents
- report safety risks, illegal activities, and adherence to wage and hour policies
- cultivate a culture of safety and ensure all associates received safety training
- ensure use of personal protective equipment and proper equipment repair
