Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
  • deliver daily conditions that meet company expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value
  • offer product samples and answer product questions
  • ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
  • promote trust and respect among associates through collaboration and communication
  • adhere to all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • maintain awareness of inventory and report discrepancies
  • inspect products for quality and take appropriate action
  • prepare, package, label and display products for sale
  • utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and reduce shrink
  • ensure product temperature is maintained and documented
  • ensure company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation and productivity
  • comply with regulatory food safety requirements and execute product recalls
  • reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • notify management of accidents and report safety risks and illegal activities
  • ensure wage and hour policies are followed
  • cultivate a culture of safety and conduct safety training
  • ensure use of personal protective equipment and proper equipment maintenance
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
