Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum experience in bakery or pastry production
- Ability to manage and supervise a team
- Must be able to train others in pastry preparation
- Flexibility to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass drug screening and skill tests
- Must apply for and maintain Gaming License from Tribal Gaming Agency
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must comply with Health Department sanitation rules
- Must possess clear vision and good hearing
- Native American hiring preference applies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in bakery or pastry operations
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of pastry preparation techniques
- Ability to train and lead team members
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Ability to pass drug screening and skill testing
- Gaming license preferred or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- Support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel's Standards of Excellence
- Maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
- Train team members on preparation of various pastry products
- Oversee and implement new bakery items for Food and Beverage outlets
- Perform daily inventory and ordering tasks
- Respond to internal and external guest requests
- Serve as communication link between Executive Pastry Chef and bakery team
- Ensure all recipes are current and organized
- Direct and participate in ensuring quality of all dessert and amenity orders
- Properly label and deliver food items
- Ensure food preparation meets company standards
- Coordinate cleaning tasks with Stewarding department
- Maintain proper storage and rotation of food products
- Adhere to control procedures for food and labor costs
- Ensure compliance with Health Department sanitation requirements
- Conduct responsibilities professionally and ethically
- Maintain consistent attendance record
- Supervise team members and carry out supervisory responsibilities
