Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic baking or pastry experience preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Capability to lift or move loads up to 25 lbs unaided
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, reach, and stoop as required
  • Comfort working on slippery or irregular surfaces including ramps and staircases
  • Willingness to follow strict food safety and hygiene guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED substitute
  • Less than 12 months of relevant experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen-related tasks is desired
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Proficiency in operating baking machinery and tools safely
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional communication skills

Job Duties

  • Conform to standardized recipes and presentation standards while preparing and baking pastries, breads, and desserts
  • Carry out the measurement, mixing, allotment, and organization of ingredients for the daily baking tasks
  • Properly maintain and operate baking machinery and tools with safety precautions in mind
  • Watch the operation of ovens and kitchen tools to make sure the proper cooking times and temperatures are followed
  • Abide by food safety and sanitation procedures that include proper food storage, personal cleanliness, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean
  • Conform to kitchen guidelines for workstation setup and dismantling
  • Ensure that food quality and consistency are consistent in every batch prepared throughout the shift
