Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 12 months of relevant baking or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Capability to lift or move loads up to 25 lbs without assistance
- Physical ability to bend, twist, reach, and stoop as required
- Comfortable working on slippery or uneven surfaces including ramps and stairs
- Commitment to following food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- Achieving a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Less than 12 months of relevant experience in baking, pastry, or kitchen-related tasks is desired
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adhere to safety precautions when operating baking machinery
Job Duties
- Conform to standardized recipes and presentation standards while preparing and baking pastries, breads, and desserts
- Carry out the measurement, mixing, allotment, and organization of ingredients for the daily baking tasks
- Properly maintain and operate baking machinery and tools with safety precautions in mind
- Watch the operation of ovens and kitchen tools to make sure the proper cooking times and temperatures are followed
- Abide by food safety and sanitation procedures that include proper food storage, personal cleanliness, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean
- Conform to kitchen guidelines for workstation setup and dismantling
- Ensure that food quality and consistency are consistent in every batch prepared throughout the shift
- Sustain a hygienic, secure, and systematically arranged bakery/kitchen environment to facilitate smooth operations
- Conduct oneself professionally when communicating with colleagues and guests as necessary
- Be there for your colleagues and contribute to a harmonious team atmosphere
- Engage in other tasks and responsibilities as required by superiors
