Job Requirements

  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • hand use including single grasping fine manipulation pushing and pulling
  • capable of bending twisting squatting and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • exposure to temperatures below freezing 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 40 degrees Fahrenheit and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in a wet and cold environment
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays as needed
  • ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters knives electric pallet jacks forklifts hand trucks six-wheel carts balers and other heavy machinery

Job Qualifications

  • 18 plus months retail Team Member experience
  • 6 plus months supervisory experience
  • advanced product knowledge of supported department products
  • proficiency with email Microsoft Office and operations-related applications
  • demonstrated decision-making ability leadership skills and ability to prioritize and delegate
  • excellent interpersonal motivational team building and customer relationship skills
  • proficiency in regulatory and safety policies and procedures
  • capability to teach and mentor others
  • strong mathematical skills for assessing financial performance monitoring profitability and managing inventory

Job Duties

  • Follow through on customer questions and requests resolving concerns as needed
  • work with Team Leader to achieve sales margin expense and labor targets
  • assist Team Leader in analysis of sales reports and labor
  • demonstrate advanced product knowledge and develop or maintain awareness of new products
  • work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
  • function as point person and departmental person-in-charge in absence of Team Leader
  • set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution
  • foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork mutual respect and exceptional morale
  • maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers respond promptly to customer needs and questions
  • select train develop mentor motivate and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover
  • communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards
  • provide timely thorough and thoughtful performance evaluations
  • consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals
