Job Requirements
- must be able to lift 50 pounds
- able to stand or walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use including single grasping fine manipulation pushing and pulling
- capable of bending twisting squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures below freezing 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 40 degrees Fahrenheit and above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in a wet and cold environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays as needed
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters knives electric pallet jacks forklifts hand trucks six-wheel carts balers and other heavy machinery
Job Qualifications
- 18 plus months retail Team Member experience
- 6 plus months supervisory experience
- advanced product knowledge of supported department products
- proficiency with email Microsoft Office and operations-related applications
- demonstrated decision-making ability leadership skills and ability to prioritize and delegate
- excellent interpersonal motivational team building and customer relationship skills
- proficiency in regulatory and safety policies and procedures
- capability to teach and mentor others
- strong mathematical skills for assessing financial performance monitoring profitability and managing inventory
Job Duties
- Follow through on customer questions and requests resolving concerns as needed
- work with Team Leader to achieve sales margin expense and labor targets
- assist Team Leader in analysis of sales reports and labor
- demonstrate advanced product knowledge and develop or maintain awareness of new products
- work with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
- function as point person and departmental person-in-charge in absence of Team Leader
- set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution
- foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork mutual respect and exceptional morale
- maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers respond promptly to customer needs and questions
- select train develop mentor motivate and counsel Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover
- communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards
- provide timely thorough and thoughtful performance evaluations
- consistently communicate and model WFM vision and goals
