Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over five years of experience as a baker preferred
  • previous supervisory experience is a plus
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods typically 8-hour shifts
  • ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform repetitive motions such as kneading dough mixing ingredients and operating bakery machinery
  • ability to bend stoop and reach regularly
  • ability to work in a hot environment and tolerate temperature variations
  • ability to maintain clear communication with customers and team members
  • flexibility to work varied hours including weekends evenings and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • over five years of experience as a baker preferred
  • previous supervisory experience is a plus
  • understanding of basic baking processes and techniques including preparing dough batters and baked goods
  • knowledge of proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
  • familiarity with different types of bakery products ingredients and recipes
  • ability to bake various goods from breads to pastries following recipes and adjusting as necessary
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage the bakery team providing guidance and support to ensure efficient production
  • prepare doughs batters and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
  • weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
  • operate and maintain baking equipment including mixers ovens and proofing chambers
  • shape mold and decorate dough to create a variety of breads pastries and desserts
  • monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
  • coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
