Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- over five years of experience as a baker preferred
- previous supervisory experience is a plus
- must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods typically 8-hour shifts
- ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform repetitive motions such as kneading dough mixing ingredients and operating bakery machinery
- ability to bend stoop and reach regularly
- ability to work in a hot environment and tolerate temperature variations
- ability to maintain clear communication with customers and team members
- flexibility to work varied hours including weekends evenings and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- over five years of experience as a baker preferred
- previous supervisory experience is a plus
- understanding of basic baking processes and techniques including preparing dough batters and baked goods
- knowledge of proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
- familiarity with different types of bakery products ingredients and recipes
- ability to bake various goods from breads to pastries following recipes and adjusting as necessary
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Supervise and manage the bakery team providing guidance and support to ensure efficient production
- prepare doughs batters and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
- weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
- operate and maintain baking equipment including mixers ovens and proofing chambers
- shape mold and decorate dough to create a variety of breads pastries and desserts
- monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
- coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
