- over five years of experience as a baker is preferred
- previous supervisory experience is a plus

- understanding basic baking processes and techniques, including preparing dough, batters, and baked goods
- knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety
- familiarity with different types of bakery products, ingredients, and recipes
- ability to bake various goods, from breads to pastries, following recipes and adjusting as necessary
- precision in measuring ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring the quality and appearance of baked goods
- efficiently managing time to complete baking tasks and meet production schedules
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Supervise and manage the bakery team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient production
- prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to established recipes and techniques
- weigh and measure ingredients precisely to ensure consistency in product quality
- operate and maintain baking equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing chambers
- shape, mold, and decorate dough to create a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
- monitor the baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection and meet desired standards
- coordinate with the bakery lead to determine baking priorities and production schedules
- assist in inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- receive, validate, and store merchandise and ingredient deliveries
- follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic baking environment
- train and mentor new bakery staff, ensuring they understand and follow established procedures
- handle customer inquiries and special orders, ensuring customer satisfaction
- conduct regular quality checks and implement improvements as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
