Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to work in chill/freezer and use sharp tools
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate power-driven equipment including ovens and slicers
- Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good attendance and punctuality record
Job Qualifications
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under minimal supervision
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Friendly, courteous and professional demeanor
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting up to 100 lbs
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously
- Prepare, bake, fry and produce bakery products following recipes
- Mix fillings, batters, frostings and other necessary baking items
- Follow safe food handling and sanitation guidelines
- Answer phone calls and take special orders as needed
- Receive, store and manage inventory including supplies and freight
- Clean and maintain bakery equipment and work area
- Assist Cake Decorators and Counter Clerks
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers and slicers
