Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a pastry or baking role (hotel or upscale restaurant preferred)
- culinary or pastry school certification is a plus
- food handler’s certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- availability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
- adapt to changing priorities and kitchen needs
- stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods according to recipes and specifications
- measure and mix ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other kitchen equipment
- decorate pastries and desserts to ensure an appealing presentation
- assist with menu development by testing and recommending new dessert recipes
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and baking areas
- ensure proper storage of ingredients and finished products to prevent spoilage
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as set by local health codes
- communicate effectively with the culinary team to coordinate production schedules
- monitor product quality and consistency, making adjustments as needed
- assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- support other kitchen staff as needed, including cross-training when required
