Job Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight (about 25lbs) regularly
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of bakery and pastry skills
  • Intermediate piping and basic cake decoration skills
  • Experience in a similar bakery or pastry cook role in a hospitality environment
  • Ability to meet production needs efficiently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Produce high quality and creative baked goods and desserts in an efficient manner
  • Design, execute, and improve recipes for bakery and pastry items
  • Perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products
  • Produce bakery and pastry needs for hotel restaurants, banquet events, and grab-and-go market
  • Accommodate special requests related to bakery and pastry production
  • Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
  • Ensure sanitation and food handling practices are adhered to and maintain temperature logs
