Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in pastry cooking
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to work early mornings and weekends
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of kitchen safety practices
  • flexibility to adapt to changing demands

Job Qualifications

  • formal training in pastry arts or culinary degree
  • previous experience as a pastry cook preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant
  • strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry presentation
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent attention to detail
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • understanding of food safety standards

Job Duties

  • prepare all pastry products as trained in accordance to pastry shop standards
  • assist in high level baking creations
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry work area
  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with culinary team to develop new pastry items
  • manage inventory of pastry ingredients
  • assist with other duties as assigned by management
