Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in baking or pastry cooking
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and work with precision
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to handle standing for extended periods and manual tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or relevant baking certification preferred
  • Proven experience as a baker or pastry cook in a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and laminated dough preparation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • Assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
