Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in baking or pastry preparation
  • ability to work early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • strong organizational skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook, preferably in a professional kitchen
  • strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production
  • familiarity with various baking methods and equipment
  • ability to work early mornings starting around 4:00 AM with flexibility for additional hours as needed
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • team player with strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry
  • measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies
  • maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
