Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous pastry or bakery experience required
- Food handler certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in pastry techniques such as baking, mixing, dough work, finishing, and decoration
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards under pressure
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Food handler certification or similar local food safety qualification
- Working knowledge of pastry techniques including baking, mixing, dough work, finishing, and decoration

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare mise en place for the pastry station including gathering ingredients, measuring, weighing, organizing tools and equipment
- Produce baked goods and desserts such as breads, rolls, croissants, Danish pastries, cookies, tarts, custards, puddings, cakes, icings, and fondants according to recipes and hotel standards
- Decorate and finish plated desserts and dessert buffet presentations ensuring consistency in portion, quality, and visual appeal
- Monitor ingredient usage and par stocks for the pastry station, assist in requisitioning supplies and managing inventory, rotating stocks appropriately
- Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are upheld in the pastry area, including cleaning workstations, maintaining equipment, following food safety protocols and proper utilization of ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen and banquet teams to support special events, high-volume services, and multiple outlets as required
- Assist in shift hand-over, station clean-up, and closing procedures with flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends or holidays
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Pastry Chef or Kitchen Management
