Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous baking or pastry experience in a professional setting
- Knowledge of laminated doughs and bread pastries
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook preferably in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production
- Familiarity with various baking methods and equipment
- Ability to work early mornings starting around 4 00 AM with flexibility for additional hours as needed
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Team player with strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries breads and laminated doughs including croissants Danish and puff pastry
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
- Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
- Assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
- Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
