Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous baking or pastry cooking experience in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of laminated dough and bread pastry techniques
  • Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety standards
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook, preferably in a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production
  • Familiarity with various baking methods and equipment
  • Ability to work early mornings, starting around 4:00 AM, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
