Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a bakery or food preparation environment preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to baking
  • basic math skills for measuring ingredients
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • adherence to hygiene and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • experience working in a commercial kitchen or pastry shop
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • good communication skills
  • willingness to learn and take direction

Job Duties

  • Preparation of all pastry products as trained in accordance to pastry shop standards
  • assists higher level bakers
  • maintains cleanliness and organization of pastry work area
  • follows food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • monitors ingredient stock and communicates needs to the Chef
  • helps with inventory control and storage
  • performs other duties as assigned by the Chef
