Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Less than one year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience required
  • Ability to move, lift, push, pull and locate objects up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work on inclined, uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Ability to stretch, bend, crouch, twist, stoop and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Professional appearance and uniform adherence
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned duties

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards and food preparation checklists
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking such as portioning, chopping and storing
  • Safely and properly use kitchen tools, equipment and appliances for measuring and baking
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety policies including personal hygiene procedures
  • Check and verify correct temperature of kitchen appliances and food and report any issues to management
  • Wash and sanitize kitchen areas and maintain clean workstations
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the work shift
