Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in baking or pastry preferred
- strong passion for food and baking
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- willingness to follow safety and health regulations
- physical ability to handle kitchen tasks
- reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- General knife handling skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- experience in high-volume restaurants or bakeries preferred
- able to take constructive criticism and learn quickly
- able to follow recipes without direct supervision
- strong time management skills
- full availability including weekends
Job Duties
- Follow recipes, portion controls, pars, and presentation specifics as set by kitchen management
- Set up station according to established expectations
- Execute production from start to finish including the production and management of all in-house baked items and pastries
- Work collaboratively with BOH and FOH staff
- Maintain cleanliness of all BOH work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas
- Follow set schedule and provide appropriate notification for tardiness or absence
- Conform to Department of Health requirements to maintain an A-level kitchen
