Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- ability to read and speak basic English
- ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- ability to arrive on time and complete all scheduled shifts
- ability to work rotating schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours
- ability to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 100 degrees
- ability to comply with established safety, health, and sanitation procedures
- willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- ability to work well with others
Job Qualifications
- Experience in bench hand production and all aspects of bread production
- thorough knowledge of baking ingredients, equipment, weights, and measures
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- excellent math skills with ability to perform "on the fly math"
- basic computer and software skills
- ability to taste and evaluate products for quality
- able to learn proper and safe usage of mixers, balers, knives, and kitchen production equipment
- self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision
Job Duties
- Mix doughs correctly and measure accurately using scales
- divide, shape, proof, and bake bread and bakery products to ensure consistency
- follow production schedules and recipes precisely
- operate and sanitize all baking equipment safely and properly
- maintain clean work areas, mixers, and utensils
- work collaboratively with other Bakery Team Members to ensure smooth production flow
- adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards including FSMA, HACCP, and Organic procedures
