Job Requirements

Proven experience as a baker preferably in a commercial or specialty cake environment
strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredient functions
ability to consistently produce high-quality cake layers in various flavors and styles
excellent time management and organizational skills
ability to lift heavy mixers trays and ingredients up to 50 lbs
available to work early mornings weekends and during peak wedding seasons
understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

Degree or certification in baking culinary arts or related field
experience working in a wedding cake or boutique bakery setting
familiarity with baking for dietary restrictions such as gluten-free vegan etc

Job Duties

Bake cake layers cupcakes and related components from scratch according to standardized recipes
prepare fillings frostings and other cake elements as required
scale and mix batters consistently using mixers and other commercial baking equipment
monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure quality and uniformity
properly cool wrap label and store baked goods to maintain freshness and inventory accuracy
maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards
coordinate with decorators to ensure timely production and delivery of components
