Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays morning shift
  • Experience in bakery or food preparation preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle fast-paced retail environment
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Intermediate language and reasoning skills
  • Familiarity with bakery equipment such as proofer, oven, microwave, hot case, Hobart scale, knives, and knife sharpener
  • Computer skills including POS system and email
  • Ability to maintain punctual and predictable attendance

Job Duties

  • Prepare in-house baked good items according to product specifications
  • Package, price and provide appropriate signage for bakery items as needed
  • Receive and process orders from vendors
  • Ensure products are stocked well and rotated
  • Maintain sanitary and organized kitchen production area according to all governing codes and regulations
  • Maintain orderly backstock and freezer area
  • Merchandise bakery table, bread shelves, and other bakery item displays throughout the store
  • Coordinate appropriate signage for products
  • Coordinate product with Marketing Coordinator for demo and sampling
  • Train staff as directed
  • Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
  • Ensure follow-up of department phone calls and messages
  • Assist customers throughout other departments
