Job Duties
- Greet all customers and provide prompt courteous service or assistance
- Commit to the Golden Rule and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team
- Achieve the highest associate morale by working in a style that is Respectful, Supportive and Totally Team Oriented (RSTO)
- Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise, checking and verifying items on vendor invoices
- Rotate all bakery ingredients or merchandise according to company policy and product code dates using first-in, first-out method
- Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control
- Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy
- Take stock to storage or shelf areas
- Prepare all baking mixtures following established company procedures and recipes
- Pan up frozen products and pan and roll up bread
- Load and unload ovens, knowing proper temperatures and baking durations for all products
- Operate mixer and write on cakes or prepare product to meet customer specifications
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations including proper sanitation practices
- Maintain neat personal appearance and comply with company dress code
- Keep display cases, coolers, freezers, equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or using equipment
