Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking or baking experience required
  • food safety certification required or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • physical ability to perform job duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing
  • compliance with uniform and personal protective equipment use
  • strong communication skills
  • basic math proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred
  • experience as a baker or cook required
  • ability to work independently with limited supervision required
  • proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • required to obtain food safety certification(s)
  • demonstrates basic math and counting skills
  • demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Schedule and assign daily work assignments to food service team
  • train and guide staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, cooking methods
  • cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
