Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Good communication skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using American weight, volume, and distance units
- Ability to apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions
- Ability to work with Stratton Warren purchasing system
- Ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute recipes
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste, or smell regularly
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, toxic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and moderate noise levels

Job Duties
- Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter using an electric mixer or by hand
- Shape dough for cookies, pies, and pastries
- Accurately bake products to recipe specifications
- Adjust drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperatures
- Prepare and cook ingredients for pie fillings, puddings, custards, or other desserts
- Decorate and finish cakes and pastries for all occasions
- Make chocolate and sugar decorations for buffets
- Operate all bake shop equipment including ovens, mixers, dividers, rounders, and dough sheeters
- Follow proper time and temperature controls and food safety procedures
- Cover, label, and date food products before storage
- Conduct proper FIFO procedures when stocking and replenishing storage areas
- Follow production logs and quantities precisely
- Provide positive guest experience by greeting and engaging with guests at buffet line
- Clean work station and equipment thoroughly prior to end of shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
