Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination
- Minimum one to two years’ bakery or full service restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
- Ability to use kitchen equipment
- Ability to identify kitchen products
- Ability to read and execute recipes
- Ability to interact with guests and colleagues
- Ability to respond to questions from groups
- Must adhere to safety and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in bakery or full-service restaurant preferred
- Prior knowledge of food safety and temperature control preferred
- Ability to follow recipes and production logs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and management diplomatically
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and instructions
- Ability to perform basic math and measurements
Job Duties
- Measures and mixes ingredients to form dough or batter using electric mixer or by hand
- Accurately follows and adheres to established recipes
- Shapes dough for cookies, bread, pies, pastries, and cakes
- Accurately bakes products to recipe specifications
- Adjusts drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperatures
- Prepares and cooks ingredients for pie fillings, puddings, custards, or other desserts
- Mixes and colors icings
- Decorates cakes and pastries
- Makes chocolate and sugar decorations
- Operates bake shop equipment
- Maintains proper time and temperature controls
- Covers and dates food products before storage
- Conducts FIFO procedures
- Cleans workstation and equipment
- Serves as Food and Beverage ambassador
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions
- Performs cleaning and general maintenance
- Reports issues and guest complaints
- Supports and promotes superior customer service
- Ensures regulatory compliance
- Maintains confidentiality
