Job Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of professional baking experience
- Valid Food Handlers permit
- Ability to comply with all food safety standards including HAACP and ServSafe
- Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and working in extreme temperatures
- Able to lift and move weights up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
- Must adhere to company policies and drug-free workplace standards
Job Qualifications
- Certified level cook and/or experience in food production and/or preparation
- Minimum of 2 years baking experience
- Possess a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language
- Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in Baking and Pastry Arts is a plus
- Artisan bread baking experience
- Knowledge of baking trends and modern baking methods
- Commitment to continuing education in baking
Job Duties
- Prepare the highest quality food products according to menu descriptions and pastry team directions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas
- Inspect food products to ensure proper appearance, color, and appeal
- Follow food safety rules and regulations under HAACP, ServSafe, and state ordinance
- Mix, ferment, shape, proof, score, bake, and cool breads
- Assist Head Baker with recipe development, daily ordering, and menu planning
- Organize and prioritize daily production tasks
