Job Requirements

  • at least 6 months of food service experience, institutional or commercial bakery preferred
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment in an efficient manner
  • food and sanitation trained and certified or willingness to be if directed (ServSafe or similar)
  • familiarity with organic and natural foods
  • ability to read and speak English and perform basic math problems associated with recipes
  • ability to accurately and consistently follow recipes
  • ability to stand and work long periods at a time
  • excellent tenure and attendance
  • committed schedule that may include opening, mid-shift, and closing
  • availability for weekend and holiday shifts

Job Duties

  • collaborate with the prepared foods team to produce and bake hearth breads
  • operate commercial bakery and kitchen equipment including large batch mixers, stoves, ovens, and proofers
  • prepare a variety of baked goods following established recipes
  • maintain a friendly and service-oriented attitude toward customers and team members
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • manage baking schedules including opening, mid-shift, and closing duties
  • perform cleaning and maintenance of bakery equipment and workspace
