Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with limited oversight
  • Full-time availability with flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in a wide variety of breads and doughs
  • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to accurately measure, scale, and adjust recipes
  • Ability to comprehend and execute recipes correctly with minimal supervision
  • Valid, state-recognized Food Handler's Certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of products including quick breads, naturally leavened breads, laminated doughs, pastries, and other baked goods
  • Accurately read, measure, and scale recipes according to established department standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all stages of bread and dough production, including mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing, and baking
  • Manage oven temperatures and baking times to achieve optimal results and product consistency
  • Monitor the quality of finished products and make adjustments as needed to maintain standards
  • Organize and maintain accurate inventories of ingredients and supplies in alignment with the production schedule
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
