Job Duties

  • Decorate cakes
  • Take orders
  • Bake cookies
  • Fill counters with baked goods
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation
  • Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality or service
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries
  • Maintain food and equipment inventories and records
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Review work procedures and operational problems to improve service, performance, or safety
  • Assess staffing needs and recruit staff
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Record sales data to determine product profitability
