Job Requirements

  • Prior scratch baking experience is required
  • Must be available for full-time or part-time work
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with some weekend shifts
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physical ability to perform baking tasks and handle kitchen equipment
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to upholding health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Ability to work early morning shifts and some weekends

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • Assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
  • Assists with the completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • Informs supervisor when supplies are low
  • Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • Handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris
  • Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
  • Relays relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • Keeps up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • Checks to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA standards are met
  • Completes assigned shift work in a timely and thorough manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
