Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen setting
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of working flexible hours including weekends
- understanding of food safety and OSHA regulations
- physical ability to handle kitchen equipment and safely lift items
- good communication skills

- ability to follow approved recipes and production standards
- strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- capable of managing production records and inventory

Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
- assists in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes and following prescribed production standards
- assists with the completion of production records including waste tracking and product shortages
- ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- handles food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
- consistently keeps up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
- checks that all food is presented and served per standards
- follows principles of sanitation and safety
- completes shift work in a timely and thorough manner
- performs other duties as assigned
