Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years previous baking experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years baking experience
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • teamwork and collaboration skills

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and proper use of equipment
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
  • inform supervisor when supplies are low
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
  • handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
  • keep display equipment clean and free of debris
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
  • relay relevant concerns from customers to supervisors
  • consistently keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
  • check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
  • follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
  • complete shift work in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards
  • perform other duties as assigned
