Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in scratch baking and decorating
- ability to work full-time Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 2:45 pm
- capability to follow detailed recipes and safety guidelines
- strong physical stamina for standing and working in fast-paced environment
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- compliance with food safety and OSHA regulations
Job Qualifications
- Prior scratch baking and decorating experience
- ability to follow recipes and production specifications accurately
- strong attention to detail for food quality and presentation
- effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work efficiently during peak production times
- basic record-keeping skills for tracking production data
Job Duties
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries as necessary per the provided production and catering sheets
- assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
- ensure proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment
- assist with completion of production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages
- inform supervisor when supplies are low
- ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area
- handle food items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service
- clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris
- interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner
- relay relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors
- consistently keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently
- check to ensure all food is presented, served and displayed per standards
- follow principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed
- complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner
- perform other duties as assigned
